A Marriage Seminar for Couples in the thick of parenting
Ron L. Deal says, “…the home is the primary context in which we learn and experience the character of love.” In 1 John 4:7-12 we read that God is love and when we love one another, God’s love is made complete in us. Our marriage, parenting, and relationships with our children are a story of love! However, no one family is perfect. Every family has a story of loss, pain, brokenness, hurt, and seasons of struggle. Just like God’s story for us though, God wants our marriage, parenting, and family relationships to be stories of redemption, where the home can be a safe place for you and your children to experience the love of Jesus Christ. This is why families matter! This is why we should pursue the love of Christ in our homes and remember that our family stories are still being written! No matter what season we may find our family in today, there is hope for redemption and an outpouring of love over us through Jesus Christ.
This one-day seminar is designed for married couples who are in the thick of parenting and who are longing to grow in their relationship with the Lord as a couple and as a family, particularly in loving one another well, honoring God as a family unit, and creating healthy family dynamics in the home.
This seminar utilizes the Parenting Version of the Prepare-Enrich online inventory as the basis for the discussions for the day.
